Since I started this blog (oh so long ago), I thought long about which memory to make my first official one, since '住めば都' is nothing but an introduction to make my (oh so many) readers curious (*^^*)
Let's begin with a simple question. What do we see in the picture above?
Yes, a long legged beauty - and look there's also me!
Cats are one of my top three favourite animals, guinea-pigs and pandas aside.
It all began on a warm summer day in Romania - so warm I could practically TASTE the heat - when I was five, I think.
Mom and I were on our way to kindergarten and this cute lil dirty kitten called out to us. I bawled my eyes out because of her appearance, but Mom told me to go on. Disappointed in the world, faith lost in humanity, I went on and never looked back. Except to make sure the kitten didn't die unexpectedly. It came to be that our usual route of 20 minutes took more than one hour. Well. Couldn't be helped.
I'm still astonished how well and how far I could see from a preeetty big distance and now I'm literally blind without my contacts or glasses. WHYYY ?! (つД`)ノ
I'm drifting off BUTTTT big surprise, I came back home and saw that cat. My mom rescued her and I kept her until we moved to Germany.
My first cat's name was Szunyoka, which roughly translated means 'Sleepy head' !
Now, more than 10 years later, I have my beautiful Khali, a mix between the Indian goddess Kali and Game of Thrones' badass Khaleesi!
Now, I hope I made some of you curious - what exactly is the first picture and - more importantly - where is it from?
It dates back to my exchange year, I always took the bus to school and that was the exact location I had to change the line. Half a year passed and still, nothing even remotely interesting stood out.
But one day, maybe because the owners were pissed off from being ignored all the time, the thingy there was placed outside, as if waiting just for me ~
That is when the Neko Cafe finally caught my eye!
I made my hostmom go with me (Sorry Okaasan >人< ) and arrived in paradise!!
'Neko' is the Japanese word for 'cat', now imagine there being a CAT CAFE, where you need to pay about 20-40€ to be able to spend one hour with cats! They are extreeemely cute, for a reasonable fee you can also feed them stuff!
It was so amazing and cute and I was attacked from all sides but it was totally worth it so I regret nothing 😊
You can see why I'm going to be this crazy old cat lady next door whose corpse is going to be eaten by her dozens of cats.
